Sampling information: It is a bit embarrasing to have to concede that we probably didn't pick the best spot in the area for our sampling. And that is an understatement. Only as we updated the pages of the Ortenburg area, we ordered the detailed geological map of the district to see that our sampling spot in Maierhof lies quite exactly between two of the very small patches with Jurassic limestones in the region. We followed the very precise co-ordinates given by Moser in 5000 Jahre Feuersteinbergbau, to discover afterwards that we missed the best spots by about 500 metres.
